Vilmers’ handcrafted furniture graces homes worldwide, and their distinctive creations have also been showcased at various international fairs, including High Point Market in the USA, IMM Cologne in Germany, MOW in Germany, Brussels Furniture Fair in Belgium, Mobelmessen in Denmark, and Esprit Meuble in France.
Solution - The client switched from AX3 to D365 F&FSC. The decision to switch to D365 was influenced by the poor capabilities of AX3, which would have limited expansion.
Project summary
The decision to replace the outdated AX3 business management system was driven by the substantial technological risk posed by AX3’s reliance on unsupported technologies. The migration to Dynamics 365 occurred in two phases: the technical and functional stages. The migration process involved the transfer of essential functionalities, including integration with the “Lektra” fabric cutting machine.
Several solutions were implemented during the migration, such as a localization package for Lithuania, an expense allocation system, and a cargo transport order system. These solutions streamlined operations, reduced errors, and enhanced productivity.
Key challenges during the migration included data transfer, system performance optimization, and planning functionality. These challenges were overcome through data review and process enhancements.
The transition to Dynamics 365 resulted in resource optimization, easier data access for analytics, and the automation of intercompany processes, improving overall work quality.
